A Winter's Night

Light is cast from the Lantern,
         Swinging in the lonely wind.

Shadows grow,
Dancing together with the trees.

Snow
         falls.

Swirling.

The ground shimmers,
a carpet of frozen crystals.

A chill sweeps through the forest.
       Frost following close behind.

Your breath hangs in the air.

               Drifting.

The sun bows his head to the moon.
A silent good night.

Blue shifts to purple,
Then fades to black.

Stars paint the sky.

Shining,
            Shining.
